Accelerating Procurement Delivery - The Challenge
Our client, a newly created standalone entity with a global presence, faced a pressing challenge: establishing a procurement organisation from scratch. With limited in-house resources and a need to support operations on a global basis, they required immediate support to keep the lights on, whilst recruiting and operationalising procurement. All of this needed to be achieved against tight deadlines.

Banking – Procurement Transformation
The client, a Central Bank with a need to quickly deploy some controls to the procurement process and demonstrate value for money across key spend areas as a result of both a huge desire to improve the operation and also a government report expecting financial improvements at the Bank.

Automotive Retailer – Allocation engine & quote tool
Founded in 1847 the client company is a British multinational automotive distribution, retail and services company operating in 40 countries across Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa and South America.
The client employs over 14,500 people worldwide and operate or manage through a third party network of retailers over 1,000 points of sale, as well as a digital sales and marketing network that extends to cover most of it operations.

Financial Institution – Complex technology procurement
The client, a national bank with responsibility for monetary and financial stability, needs to ensure individuals, businesses, and institutions can pay for things easily and securely. They produce banknotes (cash) and oversee many of the other payment systems and regulate banks and other financial firms.
The client needed to replace its legacy Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system which processes the wholesale banking transactions. This system was considered a part of the country’s Critical National Infrastructure, so technical standards and design constraints were extremely rigorous. The development also needed to align to the introduction of new international standards for the processing of inter-bank payments.

Insurance Company – Procurement transformation
The client, a FTSE 100 insurance company operating across Europe and multiple brands with an annual revenue of more than £5B, was created following a regulatory requirement to break up its parent company.
A consequence of the establishment of the new company was that the majority of the procurement function, capabilities and processes remained with the parent company and required to be built to manage the circa £2bn of 3rd party spend.

Pharmaceutical Company– Distressed Exit and Multi-provider Recontract
The client, a FTSE 100 pharmaceutical company operating in over 150 countries and with an annual IT spend more than US$1B, was highly reliant on outsourced services, particularly a major full scope infrastructure and telecommunications contract.
However, the actual performance of the supplier was well below the required standard, and the arrangement did not meet the businesses demand for flexibility, agility and cooperative working with other key providers.
